Not new to 3X3's but new to STF

Post by Libertysand »

New to the Forum here, found you guys after doing some searching on youtube for some videos. Found out there is a group that does some long runs into Big Bear So CA. Thats why I'm here, to find out on the next 2016 run.

My father and I started his dubbed "Dirt Rod" Baja Bug about 10 years ago. Bought the faded yellow 72 1600 from a family friend for $500. After years of breaking, destroying, teeth shattering, shearing off oil plugs and several close calls Dirt Rod is now close to a Bat outta Hell. 2275 cc, Straight cut gears, Dual Delardos, custom front A arms, 3X3 rears (still using torsion bar), Foxs all around and the typical bolt on crap and numerous Helicoil's on standby.

We have been to just about everywhere in So Ca with it. Glamis, Octillio, Truckhaven, Johnson Valley. We don't race it, just a fun Skinny Pedal Toy. Amazingly it's a great ride but it could use some more travel in the rear. The bug is what we take with us when we need aggression out but we also have Scouts. We belong to Scouts West Club, Main Chapter

A video I made several years ago while in Johnson Valley

So when is this Big Bear Run?!
Any how, here is the most recent picture of Dirt Rod. Say Hi.
