1965 bug restoration for a good cause in east orlando

HI fellow bug nuts. i am working with some friends on a restoring a 1965 vw for a well deserving 16 year old. This car has been in his family garage for at least 20 yrs and needs to have the floor boards replaced, a new gas tank and carb. I would like to swap out the front brakes to disc for safety and convert it over to 12 volt with an alternator and electronic ing. while i would love hand outs, i am really looking for some reasonably priced parts people may have stashed in ther sheds or garages. email [email protected]
