Advice Needed: Type IV Conversion Parts

Post by Rip »

Hi everyone, a long time ago I started collecting parts to build a Type IV engine for my bug, I have since sold the bug due to life, work, and kids. I never put together the engine that I had planned on building.

So I have all the parts, no car, and I need to figure out what to do. It was going to be a 2056

I have one of Jake’s early conversion kits the DTM and if memory serves it was serial number 13
Porsche 2.0 heads rebuilt
New Weber carbs
New Pistons and sleeves
Polished case and crank
New cam
Schubeck Type IV ceramic lifters
Etc

Should I sell the parts individually, together, or try to find time to put it together and sell the engine?

Thanks
Rip

I would have thought you could break it up...
Carbs
DTM kit
Motor

Selling off those seperately would be worth more than the whole motor together I think. Especially if the Webers are Italian an the DTM is unused.

Individually will defiantly be the way to go! im very interested in those lifters ;-) and you may have better luck listing on Samba buy sell.
