I have to sit down and work some numbers for stroke and what not , not my strongest attribute , I'm only a spraypainter

The main things you need to know when calculating t4 engine bits:
Stock deck (top of jugs with no spacers or gaskets is ~202.5mm.
Decking the case reduces that (a little), spacers make it wider.
Going narrow is harder than wider, jugs need shortened, pushrod tubes etc.
Going much wider than ~3mm/side makes fitting stock cooling tin progressively harder.
(up to ~3mm is fairly easy)
2L rods are 131mm long, 71mm stroke, 50mm rod journal, 26mm wide. (almost same as Dodge 2.2L//SRT4 rod bearing, rod can be modified, thank you type4unleashed, much better choices in bearings)
1.7/1.8 are 127mm long, 66 stroke, 55mm rod journal, ~26mm wide. Ti diameter but wider. 42mm compression height.
Stock 2L piston compression height is 36mm. (center of pin to crown)
...So...stroke/2+rod length+piston height=actual deck
2L: 71/2+131+36=202.5mm, usually leaves the piston almost even with the top.
1.7L: 66/2+127+42=202 usually leaves the piston .5mm down the hole.

Thanks for that info , makes it a bit easier for me to come up with a plan
I'm keen on a stroker but It seems a shame to not use some factory parts I have stashed away as there have been some good results on the forum
