Seeking advice for my engine build.

Have not heard back from my uncle about the trans, maybe he does not like trans work anymore. Lol. Read through Keith Seume's book and have seen gusseted type 1 transaxles that have welded 3rd and 4th hubs, super diff, yada yada. What is your opinion on this? Is it dumb nowadays to weld gussets on a type 1 transaxle? Would it still be overwhelmed with say 150 ft lbs of torque? Who is a reputable builder? As usual, thanks for info, you guys have been a big help.
