Damo I'd have thought that they'd be strong enough , I'd guess most change them because they're heavy .aircooled net have a selection of heavy duty alloy push rods and info on what spring pressures/rpm . I don't like chromoly because they are noisy . I went with heavy duty ACnet alloy pushrods . I'm getting the my heads set up with beehive singles , I didn't like the idea of removing so much of the guide post to fit duals and wanted to experiment with something else.

What beehive singles are you installing? Any details would be appreciated.

The plan is to run PAC 1286's , the installed height is a lot higher at 1.75 but that gives me 600 thou lift without reducing guides or guide posts , custom length valves and spacers on the rocker posts etc ,I'm not looking forward to setting up the rocker geometry.
The heads(new amc's) are getting the seats (46/40) and plug relocation done at the moment , I'll port them then give them back to the guy doing the valves/machine work to sort out
It will be a while before they get completed but I'll post some pics of the engine build when it goes together , 103x78 , web 277
The cam is a little wild but was to cheap to pass. I'm running TS lifters so if it's to much cam I can always change it .
