T4 external oil cooler

Post by wolfsburg »

Hi, any good external oil cooler kit (with T4 paraphernalia) you would recommend for use on a 2000cc slightly modified T4? (Lightened crankshaft, 2x40DRLA Dellortos, T1 doghouse conversion)
Thanks!

Have you verified that you *actually need* an external cooler?? I say this because very few folks actually need one. Many install one assuming it will be needed and find that they cannot get their oil temps above 160F with external coolers. Seriously, it takes me 15 minutes to get up to temp on the oil.

By external cooler, do you mean a kit to connect to the stock cooler mounted in the doghouse shroud?

If you already have done that, any extra cooling isn't probably needed (assuming a full set of sealing tinware is in place)
