I figured I would do a separate thread about my engine as it might interest someone thats thinking of going EFI on a stock T4.
Base Engine: 1974 Porsche 914 2.0 T4. The engine was rebuilt in 2001 by a PO for a cost around $4000, new cam, all bearings, new pistons etc etc. I drove it a few times before starting restoring my car and it ran fine.
Conversion parts:
Maxxecu EFI, in retrospect I would have gone for a MS instead since there's so much more experience with that and T4's.
Maxxecu E85 fuel sensor, sparkplug thermal sensors for Cylinder 1 and 3.
40 mm IDF throttlebodies
Empi IDF intake runners, the taller version.
LS2 Coils with MSD sparkplug leads
NGK BPR6ES sparkplugs
Crank trigger, Mini cam sync, IAT and CLT sensors from thedubshop
I started the Engine for the very first time this past sunday 2016-01-17 and will try to show as much as I can of the steps untill I have it roadlegal and driving again.

The MaxECU setup looks like a killer system, I'm sure it will work fine.
Its ~ the equivalent of a MS3-pro with a CAN/EGT and dual WBO2 integrated.
Except with lowZ injector drivers and drivers for dumb coils.
The latter is a dubious feature (high power ignition noise gets in ECU), but if using it with LS2 coils all is good.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

That looks like a great system. How much does it cost? By looking on their site it's saying 14400, but that not correct is it?

Oh ok. Well seeing what it can do and what it includes, that's not a bad price.

Re: Stock 914 engine with ITB's and EFI.
So I figured I'd show some of the settings screens of the Maxxecu.
First one is the basic engine setup, cylinder count and ignition order etc.
Next up is the fuel injection general settings.
Starting fuel, warmup, ASE settings. I should mention here that I have done zero changes
to all tables shown. All the values are from the MTune basic startup file. If you see something
that's way off please let me know what to change.
Fuel IAT trim...
Accelleration enrichment
and on to the ignition settings
Ignition angle correction tables
On to the inputs to the ecu. First out the trigger and home inputs. I couldnt get the engine
to start in seq mode but it started and ran fine in wasted spark. I then changed "first tooth angle"
from 80 to 440 (80+360) and then it started right up (when warm, when cold I couldnt get it to fire)
Sensor inputs, the sensors I'm using are already predefined in the software so thats just a click and choose setting.
For those of you that use the GM clt sensor, whats the "normal running temp" you see and whats "running hot temp" ?
Moving on we have a built in trigger logger and trigger oscilloscope.
Main fuel table. Obviously this is setup for a turbo car, what would be a good range for a NA engine?
Ignition table.
Lambda table.
If there's any questions I'll gladly answer what I can but I'm pretty new to this stuff aswell.
