Ok,
Here I am a dedicated Junk Dog, grab parts whenever I can,
And picked up a whole bus for cheap..
This one shows 11/74 as the date on the door sill, and the engine code is ED.
Taking it apart to scavenge what I can off of it, and got a few good parts,
However,
I'm really only into keeping stuff that will be useful for the later '76-79 2.0 (1971cc) motors.
Am I right in assuming that all ED-code engines are 1.8?
Somehow thought that '75 busses were 2.0... Wrong?
The intake manifold runners are a smaller size than my 2.0.
Is the intake air distributor also smaller?
All of that smaller intake stuff is likely to strangle a 2.0, right?
I noticed that the whole airbox was a smaller size too.
Anybody know if the TB might be useful for a later bus?
Perhaps the 6-pin AFM might be useful for an earlier 6-pin '76 2.0 setup..?
Anyhow,
Anybody out there know about those mystery years '74-'75-early'76?
Looks like the exhaust, heads, case, and incidentals might be useful for a 2.0,
But,
Crank, rods, and most all FI stuff is not..
Any wisdom is appreciated..

Re: L-Jet Bus Intake Runner Size Q
Something else that struck me...
The valves on the 1.8 are bigger than the 2.0, yet the intake manifold runners are smaller.
Weird, huh?
Also looks like the plenum (intake air distributor) is the same for 1.8/2.0,
The manifold runners just neck down on the 1.8..
Does anybody know if the plenum is the same for both 1.8/2.0 bus?

Re: L-Jet Bus Intake Runner Size Q
Plenums are the same volume for L-jet buses.
Sorry, but I never actually measured these when I took the photos.
