From an old CB Dual Weber (or Solex) progressive kit. And my favorite taken out of context quote;
Bruce2 wrote:...Its been my observation that a 2bbl progressive carb is only good for increasing fuel consumption. Two of them would be a disaster.

As funny as that is, running the progressives as duals "fixes" the huge issues seen as centermounts... Works OK.
...but rejetting holley-webers is still a pita compared to ~anything else, as they have to come apart for any change but idle fuels.

CB might be able to recommend jetting and carb setup.

Linkage could be a bit of an issue...

Hmmm... looks like you've got the start of a CIS swap... if you wanted a throttle body on top of each manifold.

OK got these on a set of 1.8 heads that i wanted for cores.
Anybody interested in these as I won't be useing them.
I need some 40 dells or the equivelant for my 2.0 build.
I also have a pair of practically new baby dels to sell or trade.
Was going to use the baby dels but have been told they are to small for a 2.0 engine!
The PO of my 1.7 told me he bought the baby dels. new in the box and they look like it. He put them on the 1.7 and the motor had a noise and he lost intrest in the project and I traded him out of it.
I got it running and lost compression after a couple of miles of driving. So I tore it down and am building it back a 2.0.
LOOKING FOR BIGGER CARBS.
Thanks

I always thought those were to put a pair of Proggys on...
And, while they would be a PITA to get right,
(As Proggys can be)
Ultimately,
If dialed in perfectly,
They could be the best combination of power and mileage out of any carbs available.
You could have great drive-ability and mileage,
Plus good power when all four barrels open up...

Clatter, tuning a pair of progressives is as easy as tuning a set of dual single barrels, all you are really dialing into the engine are the primaries, the secondary barrels are a breeze after that.

And then the power valve......those were made for 2-2.3 liter machines.
I've even seen them installed on the German V6s. ONE!

Imaging getting 2 to work correctly! It can be done, as I have done it before
on a 2.3L T4 engine, but it is a PITA and requires a minimum of a LM1 to do it
correctly. I also had to make the linkage, since none exist for these intake/carb setups.

Very time consuming, but then again, some of us ONLY have time, not $$$.

Don, the 32/36 was standard factory issue on engines as small as 1600cc and will work on engines in the 2300cc range. The power valve can be disabled, although no reason to do that. As for linkage a Scat center pull would be easy to set up for a pair of 32/36. I see no difference in time or cost to set up a pair of progressives or NIDX's than a set of IDF's.

Now those manifolds do not appear to be for the progressive, bolt pattern would have to be verified. Claudes did offer a carb set with a pair of progressives back in the day, the set came with a pair of Weber 24/24.

The CB intakes were for DNCF and DFAV/DFEV and the Scat linkage pulled the
wrong way to get the carbs under the *shelf* without cutting...

Kad linkage was closer, but I didn't have it available, so I made my own.

Under the "shelf"?

No such thing as a center pull being the wrong way, depending on which side you set the arm for the cable determines the Push/Pull. Plus the arms on a carb can go up or down so the push or pull to which side can be easily configured.

I have had two sets of the CB dual progressives, the manifolds did not have the equal oval, yes I do agree a pair of DCNF's would be another possible choice.

Yea, the shelf. The sides where the motorhaube sit.
Notice the way the carbs sits. Makes for a mighty wide installation....

Center pull leaves one arm unused. If you have one, lay it out and try it.
