I suppose it would depend on what vehicle up are installing the carbs in as for fit. Plenty of room in a bus. As for linkage, have you ever used a Scat setup? One arm un-used? How? There are two rods, one to each carb and the pull arm, how can one be un-used?

I would try fabbing up a cable pull if nothing works off the shelf, I have always wanted to do a cable but can't justify the time involved in makign it work, and not having a lath makes making pullys hard.
give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.
Things are rarely just crazy enough to work, but they're frequently just crazy enough to fail hilariously.

Well, I use Scat 30050 linkage for all duals and have installed the Cluades dual 24/24 progressive set up in a T4 bus, I am at a loss as to how you think it won't work.

There was/is a Type 4 specific bell crank linkage that was used for the 24/24 setup (I have a set). I will try to get a pic tonight.

So how did you guys like them once set up???
I had a single one that i got to run pretty good on an 1835 T1 back in the day.
It had realy good mileage if you had a light foot,
and you could feel the 'power' come on if you opened it up...
Big Webers or Dells are thirsty creatures for just slow stoplight-to-stoplight duty in heavy traffic.
All we ever do around here is idle at lights about 75% of the time,
and never get above 3rd gear.
The dual progressives seem like a great setup for this kind of (lame) driving...

I never had a set myself, but my first experience with them was a good friend/fellow VW gearhead in HS with a set, 2.0 T4 in a Baja, stock cooling.Clatter wrote:So how did you guys like them once set up???
Worked quite well. (~1980-82 timeframe)
Huge improvement over a single progressive, anyway.
...hmm, bad comparison... lets just say they work at least as well as properly set up Kads.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
