EMW'S Cyl's

Update: Answer to a question that was asked.

EMW's cyl's are manufactured by the company that manufacturer's the Deutz cyl's... 8)

Here is the Spec Sheet provided by the company, and the following Spec Sheets are from the testing done for comparison of the 3 cyl's. I am sure that someone has a better understanding of these spec's than I do, since the only knowledge I have of this stuff is just from some cursory reading.

Richard, I meant to ask sooner, what does testing like this cost?
So you think your project is taking forever eh? Well you've got nothing on me.....

Hi, is there any way to tell these apart from the chinese cylinders from a visual inspection?

Surprisingly it wasn't that expensive, I think it was around $50 to $60 a cyl.

That is a very good question.

The current AA cyl's are cast with the AA in the base of the cyl fins, the older ones are not though.

And what pisses me off, I told EMW to have their cyl's & fins cast just like the Oettinger cyl's, even though in cast iron a far better cooling design then what they currently have, not to mention having them done in a long barrel also,.

Their are differences between the cyl's that can be seen side by side, but the EMW cyl's have had the stud holes machined for cyl stud clearance.
