in the middle of a 2056 rebuild and my new CB cam came in. i thoughti remembered seeing an article on here about filing the edges of the cam to reduce chances of ripping apart your lifters.
i searched but can't find it anymore.
Does anyone have more information on this?
thanks.

Re: smoothing edges of new cam?
I use a fine grade sharpening stone, just work it around the edge of the cam lobes at a 45 degree angle, doesn't take much. You can also use some 320 to 400 grit wet/dry paper on a stick, like a tongue depressor. You will be able to feel the edge gone with your finger, one pass is about all it takes.
