I see the same problem.
Search term used: cylinder tin ignored: cylinder.
Search term used: engine cylinder tin ignored: cylinder engine
Search term used: stock engine cylinder tin ignored: cylinder engine stock
Search term used: stock engine cylinder tin screws ignored: cylinder engine stock

I have checked settings. They seem correct. It may be because I am in the middle of the reindexing. If the STF search function does not produce the search you need, use the Google search function for now.

Hi Guys, Ok I brought this up before.

I have to log in each time I come to this NG.

Also after logging in the NG says would you like to be logged in automaticly and I click yes. Well that never works.

My other problem is it keeps telling me it does not accept my password, so I have to give it my email get the new pass word and come back. Then it forgets my pass word and I have to do it each time I come back, crazy.
Thinking it is my computer I rejoined the NG under NEXTGENUSA and use my office email address. So far it did not remembered my pass word and I had to sign in again. That is not so bad as long as I don't have to start going back and forth on the emails if it loses my pass word.

Anyone else have this problem.
Joe

Joe,

I must admit I can't explain it. Most members are not having these problems. However, I did make one small change to your account which may be a cure. See what happens.

Hi OK thanks. I am logging on with the New office account nextgenusa and just now and it did not remember my password. But did remember me, so I didnot have to get a new password.

When I get home I will get the new password for my old account nextgen and see if it remembers it or if it says it is no good after I sign out.

This may sound weird, maybe my system is doing a history cookie clean up??

Or I have noticed I have to turn off my Pop UP blocker to navigate sometimes.

Lets see if what you did helped.

Thanks

Joe,

i hate to point the finger when I can't say for sure, but all this stuff sounds like something on your end. I'm thinking some kind of security setting or, as you suggest, a cookie issue. Your work computer, if it goes through a central hub, probably has some security installed. But my guess is a setting on your machine. Wish i had better advice.

OK this is a test, I just used a new pass word on my original listing of nextgen.

I will shut down later and retry and see if I am remembered. Then some Security checks as you said.

BUt one thing that is strange is, no problems with Samba??

Hay a Happy New Year to ya!!!

Ok it asked for my password again but it did not ask for a new password, so that is good. This was not a complete shut down. Tomorrow I will try to get back in after a log out.

Wow this is totally crazy.

1 - Everytime I try to post I have to long on, the NG does not remember even though I checked the remember me box.

2 - I have two names
nextgen from my home and nextgen usa from my office.

3- On both I still have to log on, but if I use my original Nextgen it forgets my password and I have to go through all the BS and get new password.

But here is the weird thing. I thought it was my home computer that had a security setting or something mess up the transmission.

NOt the case because I can use the new NEXGENUSA from home and office and it has remembered my password.

Must be something with my original nextgen.

Joe,

I looked at the nextgen account and it looks exactly like everyone else's account. :? Have you tried changing your password?

Hi Doc,
First of all I want to thank you for your help.

Ok I could not get in again and did the fogot the password thing. When I got the new password I went into Control panel and changed my password.

Lets see what happens.

so the search function is working? I had some good results the last few days, or have I just been lucky?

Ok people here is the deal. The search function until further notice is not going to give you the joy you are after. BUT I have something better. Go to whatever forum you need the info on and hit the new post icon and just ask. It is that easy. Great bunch of people in here and they love showing how VW and other topic smart they are (because they are). This is not like some other forums that will blast you for asking questions. Really, try it!

IF you can't find it it is because you did not ask for it.
