No push rod to tube clearance issue ?

For me the springs get in the way when spinning push rods checking "0" lash , I just put a bead of Silicone around the end of the tube in the head, they never move.

It was designed to move and on a bigger, wider engine this long, they need
to move about .040" at the head!

The Dirko goes on the ENGINE side to keep THAT side from moving. That is what
the springs are for, to keep it pushed into the engine case...
;)

You say tomato, I say Mater, to each his own!

I agree , i was trying to find ways to avoid cutting the spiggots on the case.
What thickness is required at the cylinder jug where it mates with the case.?
What would be an acceptable min thicknes.?

:?:

I've done one recently , 78x103 with 912 cylinders , the 912 cylinders are not a cheap option unless you have supplies of free used ones and able to do the machining or get it done cheap .

Mine has a scat C55 with 10.5 to comp and runs very cool . I'll have power figures late next month .

a million years ago I had a set of 100mm P+Ls for a Type 4 ,

They were made in Japan , I think NPR

Not sure what you mean about the 912 cylinders since they are 82.5 mm I think.....

Will these only fit in a type 4 case or could you also fit them into a type 1 case?
