I do hope these heads get done, really would love to do a t4 engine with them.

What do you think 'a set' of these heads with everything else that is needed to run those (cams, intake, case modifications, etc) would cost?
And do you have a budget for that amount?

Now diluting your thread Wally but here are two links to another way of getting OHC on your VW block.
Not as much fun as the Apfelbeck, but still a "cheap" functional and proven way.

Nope: look at the link I modified (we tune everything right? )
You need to insert ~original between.jpg and [/img] and then it works as before

We know each other a long time now Fredrik, so of course I know of these links and many other '911 heads om VW engines', but...the Apfelbeck heads are so much more then that: they were and still are a (much) better version of the aircooled 911 head, period. The extra intake valve and some proper squish area make all the difference. imho but maybe I'am biasedFrallan wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2018 12:48 am viewtopic.php?f=1&t=59308

Sorry Wally! These lincs were not for you. I do know our history and we "met" through your involvement in the Apfelbeck.
It is high time for us to meet in real life.
I have very little excuse apart from my 6.9 second dragster Dream Project going on.
Both daughters out of the house and doing very well in life.
Blonde, very nice and smart wife is also out....we divorced as we wanted to do different things in life. So me and a VW (drag-race) friend (or two) may very well visit CSP Germany and then visit SPA when there is a VW event. That is if you are there. Otherwise we will have to include Netherlands. OT but maybe not?

No need for sorry my friend!
Spa is awesome, I highly recommend it and hopefully we will meet there!
BTW, forget about blondes, their 'fun' is highly overrated haha!

Do bring the Dragster if you can!
If agenda's allow, there is VW Action last weekend of august iirc and you can apply for free ferry (also for a car+trailor!) if you just bring it

The 'contact us' link is the direct mail from Brian Burrows iirc:
My plan is to have the 1303 ready for then WITH turbo system working
