Might be worth attempting making clear "tin" so you don't hide anything
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Red the topic once more and got more inspiration to boost stock engine for a start, cause it takes major mount of money to spin it faster but almoust nothing to add some boost
Everything whats needed is in this topic, just dig it :`)

Are the Apfelbeck heads still a work in progress? And if cash flow is what's slowing the project down, have the project leads considered using a crowd funding site like kickstarter? I'm sure there are a lot of type 1 and type 4 folks out there that would donate some cash in order to actually see these come to light, myself included.

Re: Type 4 turbo: 2,2 ltr: New cooling system
I started reading it once more, cause I'm looking for a cam for 2,0T
I thaught that 222hp / 300Nm @ 1 bar of boost was already 2,2L engine. Fortunately it was 2,0 914 engine I like it and 200hp / 300Nm are numbers I would like to get but I have to spin the engine to 7000RPM cause I'm out of gears. But what cam was in this engine and why did U pulled to around 5000 only? (Graph didn't fall yet)
Was there webcam 163 ? what do you think about 163/86B cam? Would U change stock 108 Lobo center
Thanks alot

That was all with a COMPLETELY stock (and old) 914 2.0 engine core!joosep wrote:I started reading it once more, cause I'm looking for a cam for 2,0T

So by now you probably guessed already what cam was in there huh?
Even more funny was that with the addition of JUST Pauter ratio rockers and single HD springs on that same engine and turbo, it made 270 hp

Ok, You escaped I'll keep reading cam topics.....really hard choice when U can choose between more than 1
I dont know what to wait, cause I've never bought any cam or driven with performance cam.....Ok Actually I've tuned 1 MK1 scirocco what revvs to moon (We have gone up to 9300 with 300+ degree cam but it doesn't help
I just need to rev my type 4 to 7000 and when my stock cam is busted anyway I need tomething else.
keep up the good work. - Like your project.

Get a new stock cam. Find a talker diff or have a custom 4th gear made and see what the type 4 will do on 1 bar.

Pauter rockers are rated 1,48 ratio but are more about 1.5 in reality.joosep wrote:what ratio was on the pauter rockers? was the boost same?
Yes, exactly same 1.0 bar boost on both dyno runs.
