What is normal pressure for a 2056cc engine anyone? Jake?

Hot idle ~15 PSI or higher is typical, even stock.

I wouldn'd sweat it much if above ~10 PSI though, as long as it all sounds OK.
Check it with a mechanical gauge. The VDOs are known for reading low..

~30-40 running down the road, hot.

What oil are you running, cooling system etc..?
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

I have a brand new 2056 t4 with a cooler on the roof. started engine the other day and had 20-25 at idle.
